Technology

Technology is at the core of the RINGOR brand. In fact, it was a specific technology that created RINGOR’s products, name and legacy. That technology is known as the Ring-Grip™ Pattern, which refers to RINGOR’s patented, industry-first cleat pattern - designed to provide the athlete with a safer, more comfortable and better performing fastpitch softball shoe.

However, we’ve found that the greatest use of technology is when it’s used to satisfy the needs of our customers. For example, customers have asked for a protective pitching toe option. RINGOR responded with the first built-on protective toe, the Pro-Tec-Toes™, which are often copied, but never matched. Customers have asked for a lightweight cleat, without compromising durability or comfort. RINGOR responded with the lightweight Diamond Star and the even lighter weight Diamond Gem.

RINGOR’s passion for technology continues to this day, as we strive to introduce fastpitch softball products that exceed even the highest expectations of today’s fastpitch softball players. You’ll find original technology in every RINGOR product.

Increases comfort, safety and performance

Ring-Grip™ Cleat Pattern

The Ring-Grip Cleat Pattern is the heart of the RINGOR brand and the technology in which the company was founded. As the industry’s original circular cleat pattern, the Ring-Grip™ pattern is designed to cradle the ball of the foot to help reduce the risk of twisting injuries.

In conjunction with a raised heel and a full-length EVA midsole, the Ring-Grip pattern is the highest performance, most comfortable cleat design available. The Ring-Grip pattern is engineered to comfortably and safely support the rotating movements of fastpitch softball.

Ring-Grip™ Spike Pattern

The Ring-Grip™ Spike Pattern is the heart of the RINGOR brand and the technology in which the company was founded. As the industry's original circular spike pattern, the Ring-Grip™ pattern is designed to cradle the ball of the foot to help reduce the risk of twisting injuries.

In conjunction with a 2-spike raised heel and a full-length EVA midsole, the Ring-Grip™ pattern is the highest performance, most comfortable spike design available. The Ring-Grip™ pattern is engineered to comfortably and safely support the rotating movements of fastpitch softball.

F.A.S.T. Arch

F.A.S.T. Arch is an acronym for Fixed Arch Support Technology. RINGOR’s F.A.S.T. Arch ensures that the athlete’s foot is supported and essentially “locked” into a healthy, athletic position.

F.A.S.T. Arches work in conjunction to ensure that the athletes’ foot bends anatomically correct rather than at the arch.

Manufactured on for unmatched drag-toe protection

Pro-Tec-Toes™

RINGOR's Pro-Tec-Toes™ is the industry's first manufactured-on protective pitching toe option. The toes are made of a highly durable ridged rubber that is glued and stitched onto BOTH right and left shoes during a unique manufacturing process that is exclusive to RINGOR.

Customers have found that Pro-Tec-Toes™ equipped footwear will hold up to the most grueling toe-drag that pitchers can dish out and prolong the life of their footwear. Since the Toes are manufactured onto the shoes during construction, instead of an aftermarket piece, they offer excellent playability for all positions and are also favored by catchers as well as pitchers.

Provides a custom fit

Conform-X-Tongue (CXT)

RINGOR's CXT, or Conform-X-Tongue is made of a highly compressible neoprene material that allows the footwear to establish a unique, custom fit based on your individual foot shape.

This material ensures that your footwear will not become loose or ill fitting due to overstretching. CXT Tongues are found on all RINGOR Diamond Gem models of cleats or spikes.

Helps to create a barrier to inbound moisture

R-Tec Weather Shield

R-Tec is a Weather Shield treatment on the mesh paneling of our Diamond Gem cleat and spike models. This treatment helps to create a barrier that helps to keep ground moisture out, while still allowing you to benefit from the lightweight, breathable properties that mesh offers. R-Tec is a one-way barrier that allows your feet to breathe while reducing the moisture that comes in from wet fields.

Helps materials resist staining

3M Scotchgard

3M Scotchgard is an aftermarket treatment that is applied to fabric to enhance it's ability to ward off staining from contact with surfaces such as grass or dirt. RINGOR uses 3M Scotchgard on our Diamond Gem series of cleats and spikes to help keep mesh paneling looking sharp and easier to clean.

3M Scotchgard works by creating a layer on top of fabrics that helps prevent soils from penetrating and staining. This allows soils to be suspended on the fabric, making them easier to clean off.

flex-point.png

Helps to create natural foot flexion

Flex-Point

Flex-Point works in conjunction with RINGOR's Ring-Grip Cleat and Spike pattern to aid in proper foot flex. Flex-Point allows the foot to bend in a safer, anatomically correct manner, thus increasing comfort and performance. All RINGOR Cleats and Spikes feature this technology.

shock-sock.png

Additional shock absorption for RINGOR metal spikes

Shock-Sock

The Shock Sock is a 1.5mm piece of compression molded EVA that is placed underneath our removable insoles. This piece aids the shock absorption properties of the entire shoe by assisting the insole with distributing ground shock evenly.

This allows for a more comfortable and stable playing experience with metal spikes. The Shock Sock is found in all RINGOR women's metal spikes.
